Katrina Percy, Chief Executive
Katrina has been with Southern Health as its CEO since its conception. She is the accountable officer for the organisation. Her focus is on developing the organisation’s vision and the overall strategy, including transforming the way in which care is provided alongside ensuring a rigorous focus on delivering outcomes for the people we support. She leads the Executive team, and influences health policy at a national level. Katrina started in the NHS as a graduate trainee and has held roles nationally and internationally within all sectors of the health service.
Dr Chris Gordon, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Performance, Quality and Safety
Chris joined the Trust in April 2014, having been interim Chief Executive of Winchester and Eastleigh Hospitals Trust. He has also worked with the CQC and at a national level within the Leadership Academy. He is an Elderly Care Consultant with a specialist interest in Parkinsons’ Disease. Chris leads on quality and patient safety and on business development and delivery including contracting and commissioner engagement. He also takes responsibility for Business Continuity, Emergency Planning and is the Lead Director for the CQC.
Sandra Grant, Director of People and Communications
Sandra has been with the Trust since its inception. She is CIPD Post Graduate qualified and leads our People Management functions, leadership development and training for our staff, our Communications team and creating the culture we need within the Trust to help everyone deliver our goals. Additionally she leads on Equality and Diversity and Charitable Funds for the Trust. Sandra influences at a national level working with the King’s Fund, NHS Providers’ Network and National Staff Council.
Mark Brooks, Chief Finance Officer
Mark is an FCMA Chartered Accountant who joined us in September 2013 and came to us as an experienced Board Director within a Mental Health and Community Trust and within the private sector. Mark has held international roles across a variety of sectors. Mark leads all things financial, our Estates, Facilities Management and Information Technology functions. He oversees the Trust’s corporate governance arrangements, information governance and health and safety. Given the challenging financial environment for the Trust and wider health and social care sector, Mark will ensure we live within our means and influence the wider system in the interests of our patients.
Julie Dawes, Director of Nursing and Allied Health Care Professionals
Julie is an experienced Director of Nursing and AHPs with a background in both clinical and general management. She has previously held Director of Nursing positions with Cladderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, Portsmouth’s Hospitals NHS Trust and Central South Coast Cancer Network. Julie’s clinical background focuses on oncology and palliative care nursing with many of her clinical years spent working on the South Coast. Here at Southern Health, Julie also leads on infection control, safer staffing and safeguarding of adults, young people and children; and provides professional leadership for nurses and AHPs including professional standards, education and revalidation.
