Mental Health Rehabilitation Services

About the service

Mental Health Rehabilitation Services provide support for people who have been using our secure, inpatient or community mental health services and who need help with their recovery and wellbeing. Our teams works closely with individuals to help them understand and manage their condition more effectively. We can help people develop and practice the skills that are important to them, preparing them to move back into the community.

Forest Lodge
Forest Lodge is an 18 bedded mental health rehabilitation unit divided into 3 houses.  Each house is self-contained and accommodates 6 residents. House one is for female residents only whereas House 2 and 3 are for male occupancy.

We are part of acute in-patient pathway team that support people to practice and learn skills for living a fulfilling and independent life.

We are a client centred service and aim to understand what is important to you and support you to work on the goals that you identify.

What we do

Some of the rehabilitation services are residential, and most people will stay at a residential unit for around nine months, but the length of your stay will depend on your individual needs.

Examples of support we provide:

  • practice with activities of daily living: self-care, cooking, laundry, cleaning, and shopping
  • staying active
  • help with budgeting
  • participating in the community, joining groups and activities
  • developing a balanced and meaningful routine
  • building confidence going out in the community and using public transport
  • recovery model group.

Our other rehabilitation services help provide people in the community with the facilities and support they need to focus on their recovery and personal development.
