What is a video appointment?

A video appointment is a way to meet with us without needing to travel.  You and your practitioner will be able to see and hear each other using a secure online service.

If you find it difficult to get to your appointments in person, this could be an easier option for you.  Some patients choose video appointments so that they don't need to leave home or work.

For others it means they can bring someone to the appointment who wouldn't be able to attend in person.

Rejoin using the same link you were sent via SMS or email.  

If you are unable to rejoin your clinician will contact you by telephone.

You can join up to 15 minutes beforehand
Video Appointments are free whilst connected to WiFi
Video Appointments should be held in a secure and safe space to ensure your confidentiality is not breached

Talk to your clinician as most Services are offering Video Appointments

Your clinical team will send you an invitation by SMS text or email dependent upon your device. 

Enable camera and microphone. 

The system works with Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.

Yes - no patient information is stored within the system.

You cannot enter a meeting unless you have been invited by the clinician. 

Each consultation is accessed using a unique URL. 

Video Appointments are not recorded.

Yes. You will meet online with a member of your clinical team, just as you would if you were meeting them face to face.

Talk to your clinical team who will advise and support you in the use of this new technology.  

We want to do everything we can to make this new experience a good one for you.

Follow the same procedure as you would for a face to face consultation - contact the team to rearrange the appointment.
