Neuro LTC

Neuro LTC:  Assessing Baseline Factors, Critical Events and Fatigue in Long Term Neurological Conditions.

The Neuro LTC study aims to identify and better understand the factors and events that influence the care needs of people with five long term neurological conditions: Parkinsons Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy, Huntingtons Disease and MND.  It is also looking to gain a better understanding of factors that predict levels of care, the impact of fatigue and events that can lead to an increase in care whether at home or with an admission to hospital.  The long term objective of the project is to help better match available resources to individuals’ care needs.

There are two surveys, each taking about 15 to 20 minutes to complete. The first survey is for people living with a neurological condition, any caregivers of people with a neurological condition and people who have been caregivers in the past.

The survey asks for your perspectives on experiences which could affect the care that a person living with a neurological condition requires. You can complete the survey online, on paper or over the phone with a researcher. The second survey is only for patients. This survey asks about the impact of fatigue. You can complete this second survey at the same time, at a later time or not at all.

If you would like to take part, you can click here to launch the surveys now. Alternatively, you can get in touch with the research team (see contact details below).
