Epilepsy is a condition that affects the brain. When someone has epilepsy, this may cause them to have seizures.

The condition can start at any age. There are many different types of seizures and sometimes people may have more than one type of seizure. For many people epilepsy is a life-long condition.

We have created guidance for staff that describes how our Learning Disability Services work alongside people with epilepsy.

For further information please contact your local community Learning Disability Team.
