Have you heard about our partnership with Barnardo's?

Barnardo’s are passionate about creating safer childhoods, stronger families and positive futures, and so are we.

Southern Health Health Visiting service have been working to improve services for children aged 0-5 years in Hampshire. We want to give every child the best start in life. From 1 April 2017 our new health visiting service will offer four levels of support.

How we can support you

  • We will use Barnardo's expertise to build healthy communities. This includes 'socialcising' - our unique blend of socialising and exercising. Barnardo's expertise in community support will help us continue to grow this part of our service and give you improved access to local support groups, such as Ready Steady Mums and Knowing Me, Know You
  • All families will be offered five appointments at key times; during pregnancy, new birth contact, post-natal contact and a first and second year health and development review. You can also get information through our health visiting advice clinicals and phoneline, as well as using the resources here, on our website.
  • We are always available to offer expert advice on any issue, this may include breast feeding, sleep, healthy eating, post natal depression or getting ready to start school. We will work with you each step
  • Every child and family situation is different. If you need specialist support we can coordinate services to work with you and devise an individual plan based upon you, your child and your family's needs
