Acute Mental Health Team, Elmleigh
61A New Lane
The East Area Acute Mental Health Team provides intensive support for people who are experiencing an acute or crisis episode during their mental illness.
The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The team helps people by giving short-term, intensive periods of support within their own home or their local community in order to prevent unnecessary admission to hospital. People usually feel safer, more relaxed and recover better when in their own homes, even when they're very unwell. The Acute Mental Health Team is there to enable independence and try to assist people to continue living as normal life as possible.
The Team Manager is supported by Team Leaders, Mental Health Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Healthcare Support Workers, Consultant Psychiatrists and Doctors.
