Patient and Public Engagement – Patient Surveys and Feedback

We are committed to engaging, listening and involving patients in their care and the delivering services. One element of this is our drive to complete independent surveys with patients and carers who are currently using our services. The results of this feedback is developed into an action plan which the Patient and Public Engagement Team will take forward.

 

Physical Health Inpatient Ward Survey/Audit
Following NICE and CQC guidance and key lines of enquiry we developed a 14 question survey. In partnership with Healthwatch Hampshire who carried out the survey and completed a report. Volunteers and Healthwatch Hampshire met with patients whilst they were staying on 4 of our inpatient wards to ask those questions and hear their experiences.

Our Response
We have now created a response to this report, click here to view. This is our plan of action, we will take the steps needed to make the required and needed changes as outlined in the Healthwatch Hampshire report.

        
Covid-19 has caused several delays to this work, including a change in focus as the pandemic began, and changes to our visitor policy. However the work will continue and we are considering alternative ways that are safe yet still deliveries an independent report.
