About the service

The Multi-Agency Stalking Project is a service for people who are experiencing obsessive or fixated thoughts and behaviours about others, which are impacting upon their own lives and the lives of others.

The aims of the service are to improve psychological wellbeing, relationships with others, everyday skills and a sense of belonging within a person's community. Ultimately, the service aims to help individuals change behaviours which may be getting in the way of living life to the full.

The Multi-Agency Stalking Project is a service comprising of professionals from Southern Health, Hampshire Constabulary, Hampshire Probation Service, and Aurora New Dawn victim advocacy.

What we do

  • Advice and consultation to teams and individuals
  • Assessment of the stalking perpetrator   
  • Formulation of the stalking behaviour (which can be used to guide management)
  • Psychological interventions
  • Co-working with other services
  • Signposting to other services
  • Input into the Hampshire Constabulary Stalking Clinic
  • Training on the behaviour of stalking and responses to it.

Accessing the service

Individuals can be referred to the Multi-Agency Stalking Project through their Offender Manager, Mental Health Team or a Police Officer from Hampshire Constabulary. In order to access support from the Multi-Agency Stalking Project, a person needs to be over 18 years old and living in Hampshire or the Isle of Wight.

The Hampshire Multi-Agency Stalking Project is unable to provide direct intervention to individuals currently under police investigation, but advice and consultation to those caring for and managing them can be offered.

The service does not care co-ordinate.  The referring service needs to hold the case whilst intervention is provided.
