Our services

We provide a wide range of services at Lymington New Forest Hospital. It provides both scheduled (planned) and acute care, and is designed to be a 'one stop shop' with appointment, consultant, diagnosis and treatment under one roof.

There is a dedicated part-time Chaplain.

Our services include:

       
  • Blood tests: We operate a walk-in service between 7.30am and 3pm, Monday to Friday (no appointment required). Alternatively, Blood tests are now also provided at local GP surgeries. To contact your local service please phone your surgery or visit New Forest Healthcare's website            
  • CT scanner    
  • Elective day case and short stay surgery
  • Endoscopy   
  • Four inpatient wards and a recovery ward
  • Long-term conditions unit

  • Forest Assessment Centre

  • X-ray (Walk-in clinic, Monday-Friday, 9.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm - 4pm) 
You will still contact your own GP to get the results and for any further appointments.

  • 2.30pm – 4pm and 6.30pm – 8pm

The primary role of the service is to resolve/improve painful foot pathology and function and prevent foot ulceration  The service offers a comprehensive range of specialist and clinical interventions ranging from health education and promotion, evidence-based patient empowerment and the effective screening, triage, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of foot problems  To achieve this, the service provides long-term conditions treatment, diabetic foot protection clinics, home visits, nail surgery and musculoskeletal clinics  The service caters for patients (adults and children) registered with a West Hampshire or North Hampshire CCG GP  The service will accept referrals from such patients referred by their GP, Consultant or other Health Care Professional  Patients will be seen by the relevant team for their foot health condition in the location that is most convenient and appropriate to them  The team is made up of podiatrists, a Podiatry Manager and administrative staff
