The Trust’s Annual Report and Accounts were formally presented by members of the Trust Board. Attendees heard about the Trust’s activities over the last year across all of our services, as well as the improvements and developments that are planned for the year ahead.
In two specialist talks, Dr Jane Williams discussed why frailty is a key focus for the Trust, and Dr Hazel Nicholls delivered a presentation on our talking therapies service italk.
Many older people need extra support to be able to live their lives in their own homes as they become less able. The Trust is involved in a lot of work to support frail older people, which formed a focus for the talk from Dr Williams.
Dr Nicholls covered topics including how italk is working with colleagues in perinatal mental health to improve how we support mothers and their families in the community. And, with musculoskeletal problems such as back pain being the biggest cause of time off work outside of stress, how the service is working to provide additional support for people to get them back to work.
