The Rapid Process Improvement Workshop brought staff and service users together where a number of key areas for improvement were identified:

  • There was not enough time to spend with service users

  • time spent doing unnecessary tasks

  • Admin heavy

  • staff wellbeing diminished

  • blanket observations, not tailored to service users needs

  • one to one time has to be requested.

  • Remove blanket observations – based on clinical need
  • Reception – extended hours
  • Collaborative Group Work
  • Increased activity opportunities
  • New Welcome Pack developed

Key lessons learned

  • It's achievable
  • Anyone can make the changes (all equal)
