The Trade Union (Facility Time Publication Requirements) Regulations 2017 requires public sector employers to publish information in relation to trade union facility time; this is agreed time off from an individual's job to carry out a trade union role. Facility time may be used, for example, to negotiate with employers in relation to pay/terms & conditions of employment; to discuss service changes, transfers and potential redundancies; to support individuals with employee relations issues such as grievance and disciplinary hearings; and to provide information and advice about learning and training matters.
We are required to publish a summary each year and the table below shows our first three reports for the period from April 2017 to March 2020:
