Visiting at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust sites

Visiting at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust sites is suspended with immediate effect, this is to ensure individuals and teams across our Trust continue to work to protect patients, service users, our communities and staff to limit the spread of Covid-19.

We understand this may be upsetting and are sorry for any distress this may cause. However, your health, safety and wellbeing, that of our patients, service users, communities and staff remains our absolute priority.

Visiting is suspended until further notice except in exceptional circumstances, such as for those receiving end of life care.  In such circumstances please contact the ward or department in advance to discuss arrangements.

We encourage people to find other ways to keep in touch, like phone and video calls. We are working quickly to ensure that service users in our mental health sites have access to these forms of communication as soon as possible.

We continue to work closely with national health and safety bodies and follow national guidance to ensure that all of our practices are safe and meet the necessary requirements.  In line with national guidance, where possible, we are promoting daily exercise, encouraging activity and to support this we are providing additional resources into ward areas to improve patient experience.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding at this challenging time. We are working on ways to support you to keep in touch with loved ones who are inpatients and will keep you updated.
