Governors

 Bob Blackman

After spending his early life serving in the Royal Marines, Bob decided on a career as a management consultant and spent over 30 years helping many corporate clients with contract formulation and management of their car schemes, travel and transport arrangements. During this time he developed good communication and report writing skills which he puts to good use. Bob believes in the improvement of services for those suffering from mental illness – and their carers, To this end he served as a Public Governor at the Trust for 4 years (2008-2012) at the time when Southern Health was first formed, followed by 5 years (2013-2018) as a Pubic Governor for Solent NHS Trust. Bob is a Volunteer with Fareham Good Neighbours, an organisation run by Churches Together in the Fareham area.  As a recently elected Public Governor for South Eeast Hampshire, he believes that he can make a positive contribution by collecting and representing the views of constituent members of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.
