Who is this service for?
Our service is for people with serious mental illness and/or personality disorder who need to receive their care in a medium secure environment.
Most of our patients have either committed a criminal offence, or have challenging behaviour. We admit patients from high secure hospitals, local psychiatric hospitals, prisons and the courts.
Ravenswood has an ethos of recovery and our service users have created a stop time animation video which they can share with others both in and out of the service to describe their experience of being in Secure services, recovery and return to the local community. This animation is based upon an individual’s real story . This is the first in a series of animations created by service users.
The process of the animation is a learning experience for the individuals involved in the art of film making , an opportunity to explore peoples story’s and share the message of recovery and hope.
