Meet the team

Our skilled teams are here to provide you with all the support and care you may need during your stay.

Member of care staff with an alderly female patient

Some of the people you can expect to meet in our inpatient teams include:

  • Medical staff

  • Nursing staff

  • Mental health practitioners

  • Psychologists

  • Occupational therapists

We also work closely with your Community Mental Health Team, Adult Services and other voluntary organisations to make sure you get the highest quality of care and support.

Our inpatient wards offer 24 hour nursing, with doctors and consultants visiting wards on a regular basis. A duty doctor is available for medical treatment outside of normal working hours. You may be nursed by both male and female staff during your stay on a ward. If you have a specific preference about the gender of staff who look after you, please let a member of our team know. We will try to meet your preferences wherever possible.

Medical students, student nurses and mental health practitioners in training are often on placement on our wards. Their practice is carefully supervised by qualified doctors and psychiatric nurses.
