Research trials are used to help with understanding how to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease. This may involve comparing existing treatments or looking at new ones.
They are important to ensure that the best advice and treatments are being provided to patients. Most importantly, clinical research is the key to improving patient care.
MARC is one of the leading centres in Europe for memory problems and dementia research.
The MARC team is multidisciplinary, consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and administrative staff. We work in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Data Protection Act 1998 and the Good Clinical Practice guidelines and all of our studies have been ethically approved to ensure they are safe for our patients to participate in.
We are looking for volunteers both for clinical drug trials, and observational research trials which involve simple questionnaires and assessments with regular follow ups.
