The South Coast DeNDRoN team is spread throughout the region of Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex and Guildford in Surrey with our central office based at Moorgreen Hospital, Southampton.

Helen is the Lead Research Director for South Coast DeNDRoN and is based at Southampton General Hospital.

Dr Ashwin Pinto - Consultant Neurologist, Motor Neurone disease

Dr Ashwin Pinto is a Consultant Neurologist at the Wessex Neurological Centre in Southampton and Director of the Southampton MND Care Centre. He trained in General Internal Medicine and Neurology in Oxford, London and Southampton.


Dr Christopher Kipps - DeNDRoN Research Director HD

Dr Christopher Kipps - Consultant Neurologist, Huntington's disease

Dr Chris Kipps is based at Winchester Hospital and specialises in Huntingdon's disease.

 


Dr Khaled Amar - DeNDRoN Research Director MND

Dr Khaled Amar - Consultant Geriatrician, Parkinson’s disease

Dr. Khaled Amar is a Consultant physician and geriatrician at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch hospitals NHS FT. He has helped to develop a comprehensive service for patients with Parkinson’s disease and similar disorders.


Dr Clive Holmes - DeNDRoN Research Director - Alzheimer’s disease

Professor Clive Holmes - Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist, Alzheimer’s disease

Professor Clive Holmes trained as a Psychiatrist at Guys Hospital and the Maudsley. His research training was in the neurochemistry of Alzheimer’s Disease at the Institute of Neurology.
