Our research

Always looking to the future

Friends relaxing outside

As well as providing a wide range of clinical care, the trust also supports ongoing research activity, to improve and innovate the services we offer. The Trust works closely with the University of Southampton, as well as other academic centres, to research and develop the services and treatments we offer.

This website will give you all the information you need about the research happening in the trust, if you are a Service User or Staff member looking to get involved, or a Researcher wanting to run your study in our Trust.

Our Vision

  • The integration of a comprehensive research strategy, and outcome focussed care into day to day practice, as part of the culture, policies and procedures of the organisation
  • To maximise patient and clinician participation in research
  • To focus on outcomes based care.

The Research and Development Department is here to provide you with advice and guidance on your research project.
