Making it easier to get the care you need

A new single phone number for the South East of Hampshire has been set up for people who need Orthopaedic services.

Call 023 9279 4805 to get an assessment

Southern Health provides assessment and treatment for patients with Orthopaedic conditions that can create pain and mobility problems affecting their muscles, bones, nerves and ligaments.

We have a team of specialist NHS staff including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Specialised GPs and Orthopaedic surgeons.

From next Wednesday 4 July anyone referred for an appointment by their GP can call 023 9279 4805 to get an assessment at either Fareham Community Hospital, Petersfield Community Hospital, Gosport War Memorial Hospital or Havant Health Centre.

Lance Beatty is Clinical Services Manager and a Specialist Physiotherapist with the service which is called Orthopaedic Choice. He says, “This should make it much easier and quicker for people that need assessments to get the care and treatment they want at a hospital or health centre close to them. Having the Access and Booking Centre locally will help to direct patients in the most appropriate way to the most appropriate clinicians and services.”
