Julie Dawes, Interim Chief Executive of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“I am delighted that Alan Yates has been appointed as Interim Chair. Alan has already been working closely with us as Improvement Director since March and his expertise has been most welcome.
“Alan will lead a major review of our clinical services in Hampshire, an important part of making our future clearer. A new strategy, based on the findings of this review will set out how our services and our organisation should be configured to best meet the needs of the people we serve.”
“Whilst I will be closely involved in the review, my focus will remain on ensuring the important improvements to our current services continue to be made.
“Alan shares my firm belief that working together with people who use our services, their families and local communities is of utmost importance to ensure their experiences and ideas help us to improve.”
