As Chair, Tim is working closely with Alan Yates (who was appointed as Improvement Director earlier this year) and our board, to support us in continuing to make the improvements needed to address the CQC’s concerns.
Tim brings with him a wealth of experience in both the private and public sector. He has led a number of major NHS organisations, which includes being Chief Executive of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for seven years.
When asked what his priorities will be in his role as Chair, Tim says:
“The people that rely on our services and their families will be at the heart of everything we do. Two of my immediate priorities are to make sure that the quality and safety of our services improve and to make sure the Board functions more effectively.
"The Care Quality Commission has identified some serious issues which need to be resolved quickly and effectively. I assure everyone that as Chair I will always act in the best interests of the population we serve."
We would like to welcome Tim to the Trust and wish him all the best in his new role.
