Tackling Stigma Through Sport

A common passion for sport helps bring people together, whether they suffer from mental health problems or not.

By giving all people the opportunities to play and work together, their wellbeing and confidence can be revitalised, but most importantly, the stigma that implies people with mental health problems can't play or shouldn’t get involved can be broken.

Everyone can play their part, whether it's through sport, the arts or at work. Contact one of the team to find out how you can get involved.

Here are some examples of how we are working to tackle mental health stigma through sport.

"As a boxer, you can always see the opponent you’re fighting. Mental health problems, and people’s narrow-mindedness about them, are not so easy to see." - Frank Bruno
